What is the difference between compost and mulch?
Compost can be mixed with existing soil to improve it’s soil properties. Mulch is designed to sit on the surface of the soil and retain the soil moisture. Some companies use non-decomposing materials such as ground up rubber tires or glass for their mulch product. Our mulch products are wood based.
What type of Mulch do you carry?
We carry Shredded Hardwood, Shredded Cedar, Cedar Chips and Magic Mulch.
Is your compost weed-free?
Yes our dairy cow compost made from lactating cow manure, the compost is weed-free and pathogen-free.
How can I tell what nutrients are needed for my soil?

How does a soil amendment work?
A soil amendment is any material added to a soil to improve its physical properties, such as water retention, permeability, water infiltration, drainage, aeration and structure. The goal is to provide a better environment for roots.
Can I schedule a delivery for a specific time?
We will work with you to schedule a delivery on a specific date. Actual time will vary based upon a variety of factors including traffic, location and truck availability. A window of time will be given as to when we expect to arrive, however these quoted time are not guaranteed and could change based on the aforementioned factors which are beyond our control.
When do I pay for the delivery?
Off loading location is pre-arranged and the payment is made when the truck is being loaded and dispatched to the location. If paying by check, then customer needs to be present at off loading site to give check to the delivery driver.
Can I have two different materials delivered at once?
Yes. There is an additional fee added to the delivery cost for a split load delivery
Do you offer commercial payment options?
All commercial accounts must be set up through our Administration Department.
Can I use my own truck to pick up the soil?
Yes you can; however it is important to be aware that payload capacities vary depending on tonnage rating of vehicle or trailer and manufacturer options such as types of suspensions, axles and tires etc. We can estimate vehicle capacities, but definite weight limit knowledge are very difficult to obtain readily. We encourage all patrons to be cautious and responsible when transporting materials from our yard.
